About John
John is Canadian, born and raised in North Vancouver, BC. He has played guitar as a hobby since he was a boy, when “All Shook Up” was the #1 hit. But he spent his life’s work, his other passion, in the film industry as a director and cameraman. All the while, he wrote and recorded demo music with the technology of the day. Now retired, John is still writing and recording songs and appreciating every musical moment. He writes folk songs and love songs, and his songwriting heroes include Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Leon Russel, Mississippi John Hurt and John Prine.
